New Rochelle, NY, May 7, 2019—Cannabis and Cannabinoid Research (CCR) is extremely excited to announce that the International Cannabinoid Research Society (ICRS) has named CCR its Official Journal. The ICRS is a foremost international society spearheading scientific research in all fields of cannabinoids, ranging from biochemical, chemical, and physiological studies of the endogenous cannabinoid system to studies on the misuse potential of recreational cannabis. In addition to being a leading source for unbiased information on cannabis and cannabinoids, the main role of the ICRS is to provide an essential forum for researchers to meet and discuss their scientific goals, aspirations, and achievements and for dissemination of evidence-based information on the endocannabinoid system. This collaboration between the ICRS and Cannabis and Cannabinoid Research is one that will not only benefit the scientific reach of cannabis, cannabinoids, and the endocannabinoid system, but will also greatly benefit this community of international researchers.
“On behalf of the ICRS, I am delighted to announce our new publishing partner in Cannabis and Cannabinoid Research. As a prestigious and well-respected journal in our field, with outstanding leadership and a stellar editorial board of accomplished researchers, I am confident that our members will benefit greatly from this partnership and, together with the ICRS Board of Directors and Members, I look forward to advancing our research goals together in the coming years,” says Heather Bradshaw, PhD, Past-President and Executive Member of the ICRS Board.
“We are honored that ICRS, the longest-standing learned society dedicated to
cannabinoid science, has selected Cannabis and Cannabinoid Research as its Official Journal,” says Daniele Piomelli, PhD, PharmD, Editor-in-Chief of CCR. “The membership of ICRS is at the forefront of research on cannabis, cannabinoids, and the endocannabinoid system. Our journal shares this ideal and is delighted to work by their side.”
Dr. Piomelli and the leadership of Cannabis and Cannabinoid Research look forward to working even more closely with international cannabis and cannabinoid research experts to enhance ICRS and its mission, the Journal, and the field.
