To tap the power of personalized nutrition during the COVID-19 crisis, the American Nutrition Association (ANA) has mobilized its leading nutrition scientists and health practitioners to provide trusted, science-based information for the health professional community and for the public.
“The work of the American Nutrition Association is more relevant than ever,” says Michael Stroka, CEO of the ANA. “All personalized nutrition health professionals are critical members of the healthcare workforce. And it is crucial that every person is provided guidance to boost overall health, to help ward off infection and to reduce the burden on our healthcare system.”
The ANA has launched the Personalized Nutrition & COVID-19 Resource Hub at theANA.org/COVID19. It includes:
· A Rapid Review of the science by the ANA’s Personalized Nutrition & COVID-19 Task Force to educate health professionals. It will be periodically updated as additional data and evidence are uncovered.
· Professional Resources from the ANA and the ANA community, including a coming series of web interviews on Personalized Nutrition and COVID-19, featuring esteemed ANA scientists and practitioners, such as such as David Perlmutter, MD, FACN, Deanna Minich, PhD, FACN, CNS, and more.
· Public Resources from the ANA and the ANA community
“We are committed to providing health professionals and the public with science-based information and resources to help power people to health with personalized nutrition,” says Corinne Bush, ANA’s Director of Nutrition Science and Education.
